Training for Students (Module 1): Racial Justice & Recruitment
Complete two, two-hours sessions to develop the awareness and skills necessary to advance racial justice as you recruit for post-grad employment opportunities.
Session 1: The Self
Awareness of racial identity, and the privilege and barriers associated with them is oftentimes a life-long journey. Taking inventory of where we are on our journey of racial awareness and charting next steps is an important first step in advancing racial justice. Join us as we look within to explore our own racial socialization and identify where we can take action in our own lives to advance racial justice.
Session 2:
Driving Change
Racial inequality is not only perpetuated by individual actions and biases, but also by institutions and intangible systems. Developing a critical eye to identify where and how an organization or business is reinforcing systemic racism is necessary to eradicate the inequality. Gain tangible tools for advancing racial justice during the recruitment process and learn how to manage some of the associated discomfort of being an advocate for racial progress.
